What is Mutation March?

“Mutation March” is a 31-day art challenge I began in 2018. Every day in the month of March, draw an animal but make them weird. “Weird” can be anything—surreal, horrific, whimsical, trippy, nightmarish, combined with another animal or element—whatever it is that inspires and makes you dig a little deeper!

For me, this project continues to grow to become something more than a daily drawing exercise. I’ve amassed a menagerie of many hundreds of bizarre beasts, with no end in sight. Join me in the madness!
